In Episode 73, two time Juno-award winning Haudenosaunee musician – Derek Miller – from Six Nations shares with us why he uses his music to support the land defenders on the ground at 1492 Land Back Lane.
Six Nations members have been peacefully occupying lands at Mackenzie Meadows – lands which rightfully belong to Six Nations as part of the Haldimand Tract deed – and have been subjected to OPP arrests and violence. He urges that there should be a moratorium on land disposition within the Haldimand tract until Six Nations rights have been addressed.
