El Jones on Anti-Black Racism

In Episode 65, we talk to El Jones, a Black professor, author, spoken word artist, activist and radio show host! She is a powerhouse who uses her platform to lift the voices of Black people in prison and always gives credit to those who came before her. She also works in solidarity with Indigenous peoples to combat racism in Canada and seek justice for all people.

Her book: Live from the Afrikan Resistance published by Fernwood Publishing is a collection of her spoken word poetry which speak of community and struggle.
